Custom Software Development

Build the application your workflow needs. Royal Computer Consulting develops business software, integrations, and automation from a defined problem through a reviewable implementation and operational handoff.

Turn the problem into a usable first release

Identify the users, their tasks, the records they need, and the decision the software should support. Define a first release that completes a meaningful workflow. Existing software may be adapted when it already meets the requirement; custom development should have a clear reason to exist.

Design around real records and access

Screens need a coherent data model, permission boundaries, and understandable states. Decide how information is created, edited, imported, and recovered. The design should explain what users see when data is missing, access is denied, or an external system is unavailable.

Deliver in reviewable increments

A working increment lets stakeholders evaluate the behavior against the task. Scope and acceptance criteria guide the sequence. Integrations, deployment configuration, and test scenarios are reviewed alongside the interface so the result can operate outside a demonstration.

Leave the system ready to be owned

Documentation should explain deployment, configuration, dependencies, support responsibilities, and routine maintenance. Handoff includes the information the team needs to operate the system and evaluate later changes. Support terms are agreed separately as part of the engagement.

What the engagement can deliver

  • User workflows and first-release scope
  • Application and data architecture
  • Reviewable implementation increments
  • Integration and access design
  • Acceptance and deployment checks
  • Documentation and handoff

Deliverables are selected to match the agreed scope. The general rate is $85 USD per hour, corp-to-corp; availability and engagement terms are confirmed in writing.

Common project questions

What types of software can a project include?

Business applications, portals, workflow automation, and integrations are within the published service scope. Specific platforms and deliverables are confirmed during discovery.

Can you show a public product example?

Easy Seas is Scott A. Astin’s publicly available cruise offer and voyage organizer. The project profile describes its visible workflow and links to the product evidence.

Bring the workflow and the constraints.

Describe your current systems, the task you need to improve, the people who use it, and the timing or access constraints. Those details help define a useful first conversation.
