Establish the data and access boundaries

An agent needs a trusted source for the facts it uses. The design identifies data owners, update frequency, record permissions, and what happens when required information is missing. Agentforce work also depends on the Salesforce products, licenses, and configuration available in the org.

Design review and escalation

Workflows should name which responses or actions require human review, how uncertainty is presented, and where failures go. A support task might allow an agent to retrieve a policy while reserving account changes for an authorized person. Those boundaries belong in the scope and the implementation.

Evaluate before expanding

Test representative requests, missing context, conflicting data, unauthorized requests, and handoff paths. Record the acceptance criteria and compare outcomes against them. Start with a controlled rollout, assign operational ownership, and use observed failures to guide the next iteration.
